Pre-Honeymoon Holiday...

     She booked it! I'm a bridesmaid in my friend Shannon's wedding this May. The wedding is in Mexico. Shannon and her fiance Andrew just finalized the plans. Scott probably won't be able to make the trip. 
     I wish someone could have told a colony of carpenter ants to party in someone else's house.
Our savings have diminished over the past month.  We hired an exterminator to get rid of the insects building a new home in our dining room wall.  It was so loud we thought we had mice. I was freaked out at the thought of having mice, then when we found out it was ants...I felt weak. How many ants does there have to be in order for you to hear them... with the t.v. on?  Let's just say it would have been cheaper to get rid of mice.
     Then the rainy summer finally took a toll on our old roof.  When we moved in 2 years ago, our home inspector said we had another 5 years before we'd have to replace the roof.  Wrong! Every time it even spits outside we have to get out the buckets. New roof... $4,000.
    Yet another problem, our puppy Finnegan needed eye surgery. Now the stiches have fallen out and his eye is back to the way it was pre-surgery.  He's back at the vet's office at 9 a.m. tomorrow.
    And unless global warming is set to change our winter to summer, we're going to need a new furnace.
I don't even want to know how much that will cost. Just digging the debt hole even deeper.

   Maybe it will be nice to get away without Scott? It'll be like a pre-honeymoon holiday with all of my best friends. Let's have the bachelorette party there ladies!
