Budget conscious...
Our puppy Finnegan tore up our carpet really good this time. He broke out of his cage and pulled up the carpet in our living room until it stretched right across the room. Scott and I have decided we need to get it replaced. Its just another thing that needs to be done around our house that will take money away from our wedding budget.
I was watching Rich Bride, Poor Bride on Slice this morning. The couple on the show was on a tight budget. They decided to buy their flowers from the grocery store. Their wedding planner was completely against it, but I have to say they did look really nice. I may have to look into that.
I haven't been over to the catering company to decide on the meal selections yet. I think I'll have to do that soon. While I'm there I need to find out what sort of decorations they have. Heydenshore is a blank slate and it will definitely need some decorations. Cheap ones mind you.

Hi Stef,
If you're going to purchase your own flowers...give me a call. I can walk you through taking care of them and how to get the most bang for your buck and what things to watch out for. I've worked as a floral designer and there are certainly some tricks to s t r e t c h that wedding budget. Also, if you just need someone to do the design work for you, my services are available.
A florist's main objective is to show you the most exquisite flowers and to get you to purchase as much as possible. The trick they use is to use a few nice, showy flowers and the rest is filler and greens...if you do your homework you can certainly do it yourself.

Stef,
When my nephew got married, they got the flowers from Loblaws. They were truly beautiful. And certainly less expensive.
