In the planning stages...
I'm meeting with my cousin Pam tomorrow after work to sit down and talk wedding planning. I have thought of a lot of things, but I haven't really done anything. With 9 months to go, time is starting to run out.
I have a long list of items I need to do.
If you can let me know, I'd like to ask one thing... for your wedding, what's something you wish you had done?

As someone who recently got married (October '08) I was compelled to reply to your question of what do I wish I had done. My easy answer to this is -- I wish I had hired a decorator. I thought that my crafty Mom and I could pull it off but it ended up being a lot more work then I had anticipated and caused a lot of unnecesary stress the night before my wedding.
Another word of advice I can give you is - if you haven't already settled on your invitations try making them yourself. I assembled mine using the materials and designs I found on the website www.inspiredbrides.com - the designs are amazing and they are easy to make. The company is Toronto based which was very convenient and the important part is that they don't look "homemade". If you like the designs on the website but don't want to put in the effort to make them yourself you can also order them already assembled from their sister company www.stephita.com. I saved a lot of money doing it this way and recieved so many compliments on how great the invitations looked. One guest even asked if we would be eating hotdogs at the wedding because we blew the whole budget on the invites!
Sorry about the long-winded post but I know what you are going through!

I know I'll need waterproof mascara on my wedding day. I'm so sensitive as it is. Thanks for the idea Colleen. I'll definitely take your advice.

I wish I had had the time to write my husband a little note to tell him how excited I was to meet him at the front of the church. I ran out of time to do that.
I also wish I had taken the time to write out my speech. I flopped.......started blubbering and crying.
Don't forget that!
