Cheap glue sticks...

    All I can say is damn those cheap glue sticks! We were on a roll putting together the wedding invites on Sunday. I went to Michael's and bought a 6-pack of glue sticks so we could glue the wedding invites to the card stock envelopes. That worked out great until the glue sticks got all used up. I ran over to the drug store really quick to buy some more. I cleaned out their shelves in the stationary section. I get back to my parents house only to find out the glue sticks are cheap and don't work. They have no stick to them let alone any glue.
    My goal was to get all the invites put together and then write the addresses on the labels another day. We quickly went to plan B which was writing the addresses...only I don't have everyone's addresses yet. So stressful! The invites do look great and I promise once they are properly put together to take a picture.
    Thanks to my mom, mother-in-law to be, maid of honour and bridesmaid, Melissa for helping out. Three hours down... a couple more to go? Who knows...it's definitely taking longer than I expected.

Blushing Bride... more like Bulging Bride!

    I've been trying really hard to get in shape before I go out dress shopping. I'm not planning on trying on any dresses until after Christmas so I can give myself plenty of time to shape up.
    I started the real workout regime on Monday. And I did good up until today. I was supposed to get up at 5:30 a.m. to go to a spinning class that started at 6 a.m...
My alarm went off.  I woke up. Then my puppy Finnegan crawled into bed and cuddled up. 
We both fell back to sleep.
I'm actually pretty lucky I wasn't late for work.

Here comes the Bride...

I don’t want to become Bridezilla. But I can understand why planning her wedding makes a bride go nuts.

I’m only in the early planning stages and I’m starting to go loony. I’ve been engaged since July 12th and I thought I had plenty of time to plan for a 2009 wedding -- but boy was I wrong.

My fiance Scott and I have chosen October 3, 2009 for our wedding date.

We're planning for an outdoor ceremony... if I can make it work.

I think I’ve found the perfect place but Scott’s on the fence. He thinks it’s too small. It’s a gazebo near Lake Ontario. We’ll have about 175 guests at the wedding. The gazebo can probably fit about 100 seats.

I don’t want to freak out about not being able to fit 75 more chairs when half that 75 probably won’t even end up coming to the ceremony.

I told Scott to trust me, that I will make it work. But really, I have no clue if I can or not. Does anyone have 175 spare chairs they don’t need for a couple of hours that I can just borrow to see if this gazebo idea will actually work out? Right now, it’s anyone’s guess. My mom says just to let people stand in the back. Tacky? I’m thinking so. But I also don’t want empty chairs.

My brain is overloaded!

I feel like things are supposed to be simple but I’m in such a state of stress. 

I’m sending out an SOS. If you have any advice for me, I want to hear it. Please help!

This is only the first stage of planning. I don’t need a crystal ball to see into my future -- Stefanie Swinson becomes Bridezilla. Watch out!
