Taking a shopping trip...south of the border

    I'm heading to Windsor with my mom this weekend to visit family. The plan is to head to Michigan and go shopping on Sunday. I'm excited. I want to see if I can buy my heels. I want to get really cute ones to wear with my dress. Something with a pop of colour.

    People keep telling me not to wear heels, but I really want to. I will just get them now and then break them in for the next 9 months.

Its been awhile...

    I'm back with wedding plans on the brain.
    Its been awhile since I last blogged.  A family emergency had me thinking of things in the present not making plans for the future.
    I've been spending a lot of time downtown Toronto in recent days. I can't believe how many ideas are swirling in my mind. I just need to take a second and get back on track.
    I haven't looked at my list lately. I need to go and finalize the menu for the reception at the caterers.
    Still happy with our choice to go Ukrainian.
    The inexpensive wedding dress I said I liked but wanted the corset back changed to a zipper... it will only cost $175 to change it. It may even be cheaper.  My mind is so out of whack. I need to pay a visit to try it on again. I should probably put in the order.  I'm a few months behind schedule on that.
    Taking time away from wedding planning has made me realize one thing; stop stressing.
    I wanted everything to be perfect, but really all I care about is having my loved ones there.
    So it may look more wedding-y then I wanted... so what?
    It will be perfect no matter what.

Frustrated...

    I tried to order our wedding favours tonight.
    We chose candies that we could put our pictures on and text as well.
    It took forever to find the right pictures and then re-size them. I went through the whole process and when I got to the end to checkout it says Zip/Postal code... and Country.
    I couldn't type in the complete postal code and I couldn't switch the country from the United States.
    It made it seem like Canadians could order the product, but we can't.
    I'm beyond frustrated. I was really looking forward to getting these party favours, now I need to start from scratch.

Woah...

    I had a hard time going down the stairs in my house this morning. That bootcamp fitness class is working.
The instructor took my measurements at the end of the class, so I'm hoping when I get them done again at the end of the session I will see an improvement. Then... I'll buy my dress.
    I scheduled a tasting with the caterer. Scott and I are going on Valentine's Day to try and figure out what we'll be serving guests at the wedding. Turkey and something else. Possibly ham. We'll see what tastes the best.
    I'm going to try and get some wedding stuff done on my day off Friday. I would like to go to a fabric store and pick out fabric for the overlays for the tables. The interior of the hall will be decorated ivory and gold, so I'd like a punch of colour on the table tops. I think I'll also head over to a craft store to see if I can get some ideas. I need to order my party favours soon, so maybe I'll buy some little bags to go with them and I also need little bags for the birdseed for the ceremony.

Getting fit in February...

    ... Or at least I'm going to try get a bit more fit this month.
    I haven't ordered my wedding dress...
    I have a few more pounds I would like to lose before then.
    I really liked the way the dress I want fits me, but I would like to see if I can go down one more size.
    I don't want to feel uncomfortable in anyway on the big day.
    So, in support of my month long work-out plan, my maid of honour Allison has decided to join a bootcamp class with me.  Our first class is tonight. We'll go once each week.
    I'll let you know how it goes.. and please, no comments about how I should have bought my dress by now.  I know.. I know I should have bought it like 4 months ago.. but I'm such a procrastinator.
    FYI, yesterday I almost died on the elliptical at the gym.

Stumped...

Well, it looks like I'm stumped with planning again. People keep asking me how the planning is going... and I haven't done much in the past two week.
New dresses will be arriving at Bliss Bridal soon, so I will be going there in the next week to see if they have any new wedding dresses. I haven't ordered one yet. Time is ticking...

Still in love....with my dress

    I'm becoming wedding dress obsessed.  I went back to Bliss Bridal and tried on my dress again yesterday after work. Its still as beautiful as ever. I really need to order it soon. I can't imagine finding another dress I'll love more.
    I'm still waiting a little bit though. The size of the dress I tried on in the store fits me almost perfectly so it shouldn't need many alterations if they order that same size.
    My aunt came along this time to see the dress.  She likes it too. That means a lot.
    My mom and Allison, my maid of honour and one of my many bridesmaids, Melissa came along as well.       They were on the hunt for bridesmaid dresses.
    I'm pretty flexible. They can order whatever dress they want, I just want to okay the colour. Right now it looks like the dresses will either be black or chocolate brown. There is an expensive but absolutely beautiful long black dress that they both tried on at Bliss. But I've also ordered a couple dresses for them all to try from sears that are half the price. So we'll see what dress will win..

Back to work...

    My holidays are over. Today is my first day back to work and I've got an awful cold. It makes me wish for a honeymoon right about now.  I was so bored at the beginning of my time off.. but then when I got used to being lazy, it was kind of nice.
    Scott and I had a great Christmas.  We spent time with both of our families. And there was some wedding talk. Especially when I got together with my girlfriends. I'm going to go try on wedding dresses. It makes me pretty nervous. My friend Jordan said she had a really great service at Bliss Bridal in Whitby, so I'm going to make an appointment over there at some point when I'm feeling better.

Decorating...

    I went out yesterday and bought a bunch of Christmas decorations to decorate the main floor of our house. Our Christmas tree is in the rec room so when you walk into our house it looks like we don't celebrate the holidays. so I went out and bought tons of stuff.  Or so I thought there was tons...
    I decorated my main floor, telling Scott when he came downstairs it'd be a winter wonderland.  I was wrong.  I didn't buy nearly enough.  It looks so sad.  Pretty, but sad.  It made me realize that I will need help decorating the hall for our wedding.  I thought I might be able to handle it, but I can't even handle decorating my house.
    The only thing I am going to do for the wedding is table cloths.  I don't want to pay the extra fee for a coloured table cloth so I'm going to go to a fabric store and just by fabric to drape over the tables.
Getting the measurements and figuring out how many pieces of fabric I'll need is another story.
