Lots to Give Thanks For

Thanks to my family for all the help with the gardens and projects this year.  It's been a bountiful harvest and the wood shed and greenhouse are almost complete.  We have so much food in the house right now I don't think we'll need to buy any veggies for many weeks to come.  We haven't bought any since the early spring now that I think about it.  I also should thank Glen F. for the free garden plots this year that greatly helped us reap a record harvest.  I brought back another trunk load of veggies today as a matter of fact.

Thanks to Hydro One for cutting all the trees down by the hydro wires in the last couple weeks.  We've been hauling wood up from the road with the 49 Ford tractor almost everyday.  I'd guess we have 2-3 bush cords piled up ready for cutting and splitting.

Thanks to David C. for the free boards that I've salvaged from his old chicken coop and barn over the last week.  I've used them as paneling for the wood shed and they look suitably rustic, almost like they've always been there since the house was built in the 1800's.  I also got some fencing,  a gate and windows from him that I'll use when I revamp the chicken coop next year.

Some people thought I might get bored going to part time work this April.  Not a chance!  Life just keeps getting better!
