Shopping Spurt?
I saw an ad today for a $250.00 Shopping Spree at a local grocery chain. Excuse me? When was the last time these people went shopping for groceries? $250 bucks hardly qualifies as a 'Spree' anymore. More like a shopping Spurt. My little family of four can blow that out of the water without even touching the cookie or ice cream aisle. Throw in that little walk and you're into serious cash. Granted $250 dollars certainly doesn't hurt but I think we either need to up the ante considerably or rethink our definition of 'Spree'. According to these guys, a kid swiping a candy bar would be a crime 'Spree'.
Ya! Some shopping spree. I put that right up there with "Free gift with purchase!" When was the last time you paid for a gift? The hairs on the back of my neck prickle every time I here this phrase. Have a Free Spree Day!
