Altogether now...HOPE.

Images_2So, the circus has started. With the somewhat comical addition of Sarah Palin to the political roster the real goofiness begins...the serious mudslinging can't be far behind. I hope someone takes the high road. I really hope so. It would be so nice to see some integrity rise above all this crud. Let intelligence and wisdom and awareness be the order of the day. Those who possess them will shine, those who do not will wither and fall away. In a perfect world. I am painfully aware that the current Presidency seems to fly in the face of that sentence.
One of the reasons, perhaps the only important reason I am drawn to Barack Obama is that he seems to embody all of those qualities. He is also, it seems to me, the personification of hope. And what more really do we need...these days? What have we been without for so long? I'm a big believer in mass consciousness. As a country thinks, as a country believes so shall it reap. Which is why Obama's message of hope is so vital. Get enough of the American (and let's face it Canadian) populace even thinking hopefully and mountains can be moved. Much more so than any tax reforms, GNP results or military strategies might. Hope is everything.
