Brunch with Boyden

I had the opportunity to interview one of my favorite authors yesterday. Joseph Boyden, author of the best-selling '3 Day Road' and the just released 'Through Black Spruce' was in Uxbridge for a Books and Brunch morning at Wooden Sticks Golf and Country Club. Shelley MacBeth owner of Blue Heron books in Uxbridge, asked me to pinch hit host the event, as Ted Barris was suddenly unable to make it. When I heard Joseph was the featured guest I jumped at the chance. If you've not read his work, try 3 Day Road on for size. I think you'll fall in love with it. Boyden himself is a charmingly fascinating guy and a pleasure to talk to. I wished we'd had longer than our hour or so of interview time together. I'm always more than a little envious when I meet authors that create great work. They're doing what I'd really love to do. I love my life, love most of my work as an actor...but writing...ahhh, that's a different sphere altogether. Put 3 Day Road on your reading list...you'll love it.

Thanks. Went out and bought the book and it is excellent.
