So, back to school tomorrow. I'm not sure what I'm more gobsmacked by, the speed with which that summer flew by or the fact that my youngest son is entering his fourth and final year of highschool already. How did that happen? Lord it's intimidating how the world catches up to you. I have ex-students from my highschool teaching days who are now married and raising children of their own. It's terrifying how fast this life flies past. It truly is the twinkling of an eye. An author I once read, described this life as a rollercoaster ride. We get on, we have the time of our life, literally, and then we get off. We arrive at the other side, gasping and laughing and screaming, "I want to go again!" And it all happens in a second. Truer words were never spoken, brother.

My youngest and oldest are in their second year of college and my middle one is fourth year university. I couldn't ride the coasters with them this summer but I promise to next summer...again and again.
