The name of Karen Gillan may be unknown to my readers now, but in 2010 we will all know her as Doctor Who's new companion and I, for one, look forward to her adventures. I'm still not sure about the new Doctor yet, but I wasn't too enamored about David Tennant when he was the new boy on the block. In other news, I am still working through my older books and listening to the audio book version of the new Trek film and enjoying it very much - maybe I will see the movie soon. The next wargaming meet is coming up and I'm sure that it will be another full day of fun and enjoying the company of like-minded people and friends. I am especially looking forward to this one as I am trying to prepare a new game for playtesting and peer review. It's a wargame based around the ideas of H.G. Wells as shown in his 1903 story 'The Land Ironclads'. It's amazing how much work is needed to put a game together - the rules themselves are becoming a bit of a pain. In closing, I have a treat for you. Here is an interesting little low-budget film that needs a little patience to stay with, but is a very clever thing indeed.
