Kitchen Reno Update

As we moved in and out of week five, there was little to do except shop for drawer organizers, scrub the grout between the ceramic tile (here's a tip: if you believe that a light grout - beige for example - perfectly IMG_0355 compliments beige tile, please reconsider), and eat crow when one of the countertop installers shows up unexpectedly to clean adhesive spilled by cabinetry inspector when he inexplicably gouged a cupboard facing that was marred during installation then he splashed adhesive across it.

We only await a couple of additional shelves and the replacement of cabinet facings and trim that were damaged during installation. Oh, and there's the backsplash and a paint job, but there's no hurry.

So for now, we are enjoying our new kitchen and look forward to hosting dinner this holiday season.
