Renovation Days: Seven through Thirteen

Img_0082 Day Seven: Light sanding of drywall. It's an incredible talent to have to have so little drywall dust in the house because you were talented enough to apply it properly. Cabinetry arrived.

Day Eight: Cabinetry installed. The drawers for pots and pans are considerably smaller than I anticpated. They looked wide in the drawings. Our designer confirmed that the demo guys misunderstood her drawings regarding the trimming of a wall beside the bank of puny drawers.

2008nov04aHere's what it looks like on days eight and nine.

Day 10. No change.

Day 11. Measurements taken for the counter top. More (surprise) decisions to be made. This time it's about overhang and seams and stuff that was not addressed in the past few months of planning.

Day 12. Appliances delivered at 7:10 a.m., following a 6:00 a.m wake-up confirmation call.

Day 13 + 14. As is.
