Has my resume gone rogue?
So, the Toronto Star doesn't want me in their summer intern program.
I know, I'm thinking the same thing you are. Well, maybe not.
While I miffed as to why a national newspaper wouldn't want to hire someone with a decade of technical writing experience, I'm more concerned that they think I applied for a job with the paper.
The email was nice. It said, thanks, but no thanks, which means the company has put in way more effort than most companies put into rejecting job applicants. AND it was signed. By a real person! Well, I mean, a real person typed their name at the bottom of the email. Impressive.
Now that I've seen how they treat folks who are not employees, I think I'd like to work there.
Of course, I know I can't. They already turned me down for a job I didn't apply for, so I doubt they'll hire me for one I do.
