I know that many people make their ‘smallest room’ a haven and escape for those few moments when the body’s natural functions take precedence. Often taking reading material into the washroom with you helps pass those rather unpleasant moments but, our friends in foreign lands can make your time much more pleasant and entertaining (down at the back there!).
Enter the Inax Satis Asteo Washlet toilet. This classically trained ‘technotoilet’ - www.rakuten.co.jp - comes with an SD slot for it’s built-in MP3 player, stereo speakers, and an automatic lowering/lifting mechanism. The rather poorly translated website indicates that the Inax appears to have a number of classical pieces from Bach, Chopin, and Mendelssohn ready to go, presumably to drown out less than pleasant ambient noises when you forget your own SD card. Furthermore, the device can reportedly detect whether you'd prefer the lid up or down (it reads minds?) and the built-in nightlight should prevent any early morning surprises when going to the toilet at night.. Inax's latest toilets are available right now for those in Japan and will set you back anywhere from $500 to $800. What’s next? A talking toilet – ‘the lid is ajar’, ‘please flush me’, ‘why are you leaving, you have not finished’ - this could be real fun

You never fail to find the most interesting things Laurence..way to go!!!
