Just another day

Good01011932171 It must have been the obligatory 90 days since Apple announced something because the new Mac Books are out. As usual, all the Mac fanboys are making the typical ooo's and ahh's over the shiny new creations, From what I can see they are much the same as before with a few little refinements but NO Blu-Ray or HDMI support. According to Mr. Jobs, 'Blu-ray is just a bag of hurt. It's great to watch the movies, but the licensing of the tech is so complex, we're waiting till things settle down and Blu-ray takes off in the marketplace'. Whatever! What he really means is that Apple doesn't want to pay for the licensing. I am still undecided about Mac. I recently set up an older iMac for my nephew and it was interesting to grapple with a Mac and OS X after a couple of years. Yes, it was great how it immediately found the internet connection, but the absence of a scroll on the mouse is a real pain and the constant security exhortations when installing software gets on my t**ts. It was interesting having to explain about Macintosh to someone who had never even heard of Apple computers before. Very odd indeed. To lighten the mood a little - look at this site. It's amazing what products we have been advised to buy over the years. This thumb thing just looks scary. I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition!
