Now, that didn't hurt much

Macolanterns Mr. Jobs remarks about the absence of Blu-ray support on the new Macs didn't sit well with everyone and there are loud voices bemoaning this lack. Contrary to Apples' stand, Blu-ray support doesn't hurt all THAT much. $289 to be exact. AMEX Digital produce a nice sleek looking external Blu-ray drive for both PC and Mac. It's quite amazing how fast prices on Blu-ray drives has dropped over the past few months - I  have even seen an internal Blu-ray and HD-DVD combo drive for well under $200. I think that the point here is that, although Apple controls very closely what goes into their devices, someone out there can make it even better. Now, if they can bring Mac prices down a bit....I may even consider a Mac laptop next time. Now that's a scary thought.
