Over the past couple of weeks, I've received more than a few emails with suggestions of some possible candidates for the upcoming election.
Two names keep popping up as potential mayoral candidates... former Hamilton Township mayor Forrest Rowden, who now hangs his hat in Cobourg and Cobourg businessman, Wayne DeVeau.
Although these are just rumours, I think both candidates would make for an interesting race, especially if current Mayor Peter Delanty decides three terms in the big chair is enough.
Rowden knows his way around council chambers and both he and DeVeau are "names you know" out in the community.
So Cobourg, what do you think?
Or better yet, Mr. Rowden and Mr. DeVeau, let us in on the secret.
Will you or won't you?

Wayne Deveau was never on Council his wife was. Wayne was Cobourg bureaucrat - a thorn in his bosses side and much maligned by them
