Hokum Runners @ the SHWALTZ!!!

I have to admit that my words are not enough for what Bensley gave to our community, for what we have lost... but this video from his final concert at last week's SHWALTZ tells the story of what Glen Bensley gave to us... he handed the mic over....he gave us our voice. he made it louder and stronger and gave it clarity... and now we must give his back...  Glen, I think you were beautiful.

Absolutely a painful loss. The community has lost a big piece of it's heart and it's voice. I am truly saddened that I couldn't make it back to town for the celebration of Glen's life, and to share in the way he touched us all. I will always remember my time shared with the wonderful soul that he carried.

I loved this dude.
He was one of the nicest and most down-to-earth people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and playing guitar with.
My deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones.
Durham Region has lost a great.

About Will McGuirk

  • Will_McGuirk
    • William McGuirk believes that Canadian music will not feed the world but it will provide moments of digestive relief. Tears are not enough but sometimes that's all we have. That we are not here for a long time so have a good time and support local artists. He has been yelling in the wilderness for 15 years. He needs a home and has been dewormed. He's got 6,000 years of Irish in him so don't believe a word of it.
