Paper Lions

Paper Lions continue in the tradition of great East Coast pop. The band from PEI are playing a free gig tonight at the Groove with Winnipeg's Waking Eyes (who seem to have mellowed out on their garage rock and moved into Sam Roberts-ville). Paper Lions blend the full range of Sloan and distill it through Radiohead and Coldplay to get something smartly serene. Should be a good show even if that guy on the left looks decidedly grumpy.

Paper Lions are great, they're nice dudes, I've seen them play a few times and I'm always entertained. I don't have their disc yet, but I bet it's good. Hope the show was well attended.
