Still Jimmie Shotgun
D-Rock alumni and SassyFest guru Shotgun Jimmie aka Jim Kilpatrick is set to release his new record Still JImmie on You've Changed Records. The label is a collaboration with Steve Lambke (Baby Eagle) of the Constantines and members of Attack In Black plus Jimmie. The album features Shotgun's labelmates as well... its complicated...best let Jim explain.... so we asked him..
"Hey Will,
Happy new year!
The Album will be available on Vinyl only with a digital download, it is being released on "you've changed" records.
You've Changed is a label run by Baby Eagle, a couple fellas from Attack in Black and myself. There are a couple promo videos for the new record on the you've changed myspace page.
Simone Fornow from $100 sings a duet with me, Its a pretty straight up disfunctional love, love story.
I wrote all the songs, on the record, some of them we had been playing on the road, and some of them we figured out arrangements on the fly. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. We recorded as much as possible live off the floor (even some of the vocals) cause we didn't have a lot of time and cause thats the most bad ass down and dirty way.
Julien Brousseau was the greatest guy to work with, highly experimental, and open minded. He knows the proper way of doing things and has a healthy fascination with the improper way.
Jimmie"

Fantastic work Will! It's funny actually, I was JUST on their MySpace paging, and then I come here and you're already on top of it with an exclusive Jimmie interview!
