MuchMusic presents: K-Os Oct. 2 at the Masonic Temple in Toronto. The versatile rapper originally from Whitby will perform an one hour concert featuring collaborations with friends such as Emily Haines, Shad, Seb Grainger and others. Universal Music Canada will release the footage as a combination CD/DVD on Oct. 4.
Luke Doucet has curated the first Sleepwalk Guitar Festival which will take place Nov. 4 - 6 at the Great Hall in Toronto. On the schedule… Afie Jurvanen, Amos Garrett, Andrew Dickson, Brent Mason, Christine Bougie, Colin James, Danny Michel, Duke Robillard, Gordon Lewis, Grant Siemens, Ian Blurton, J Mascis, James Robertson, Jay Nowicki, Kurt Swinghammer, Luke Doucet & The White Falcon, Melissa McClelland, Redd Volkaert, Richard Lloyd Trio and The Sadies, yes Richard Lloyd is back in town!! The Festival includes performances, workshops, clinics and interviews. Toronto duo Trust have signed to Arts & Crafts. The label will release their debut record next year but their first single Bulbform is available now free. The 12" release party will take place at the Drake Underground Sep. 30.
Mad Ones new album Behaviour is available, as of today on Itunes. The band, which consists of Andrew Devillers on vox and guiter and Phil Wilson on drums, will play the Silver Dollar in Toronto (486 Spadina Ave.) Sat. Sept 24 - with the Archives, the Mercy. $10 bucks gets you in plus a CD. Mad Ones are also playing L'escoe Griffe in Montreal Oct. 6 and Live Lounge in Ottawa Oct. 7.
