I went down to Rotary Park with some friends to check out the Canada Day celebrations and it seems like hoards of people turned out and it was a perfect day, warm but with a slight breeze. Lake Driveway was full of parked cars stretched from Westney to Harwood.
My mom was walking the dog at the top of Harwood and she said folks stopped by and asked how to get to the 401, so our suspicion is people from Toronto headed out to Durham for the celebrations since theirs was cancelled. Anyone else notice heaps more people at events this year?
Although the kid was anxious to get together with his friends at one of the local celebrations, we opted to stay home. Based on the crowds you witnessed, I'm am glad that we did.
